SMART-EYE Traffic Monitor
Traffic is a major source of air pollution and it is often necessary to understand traffic flow to be able to understand and manage air quality issues caused by traffic. We offer traffic monitoring sensor technology which is able to provide counting of cars and larger vehicles, calculate their speed and spacing, and differentiate between private and commercial types. The Smart Eye TM is a non invasive technology which uses large pixel camera technology to monitor traffic. There is no need to dig up roads to install the system as it can be mounted high above the road and can simultaneously monitor up to four lanes even if traffic is travelling in different directions. As well as being suitable for fixed installations the system can be installed easily and quickly so it can be moved from site to site or mounted on a mobile platform. The system is compatible with AQ WEB software so data can be combined with air quality, meteorological data or run as a stand alone system. All data is UTMC compliant.
